AI-Powered ERM Platform

The goal of this project was to completely transform Cal Poly's outdated risk management process. For years, the university, like most in the California public university system, relied on manual, disconnected Excel spreadsheets to track enterprise-level risks. This legacy system made collaboration difficult, prevented real-time data analysis, and lacked any form of auditable accountability. I was tasked with designing and building a modern, web-based platform to solve these challenges. The solution is a interactive web application that serves as a centralized hub for the entire risk lifecycle. The platform features a powerful Risk Assessment Tool with an intuitive interface for logging and scoring risks. To provide instant clarity, I designed and implemented several data visualization components, including a dynamic Risk Heat Map to identify risk concentrations and a comprehensive Analytics Dashboard with live charts. To make the tool truly intelligent, I architected a dual-AI system: one model assists users by suggesting risk categories in real-time as they type, while a more advanced custom LLM helps them brainstorm effective mitigation strategies, transforming a static process into a dynamic, data-driven one.
